She Began Her Journey At 16 & A Star Was Born!

When I met with Eliana Alvarez I was inspired by her true spirit as a film maker.She taught me many things in such a short meeting but I was inspired by her wisdom.We discussed many things especially about having a relationship in this business with someone that understands the many sacrafices we have to make when we're in the trenchs filming.She was born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in Spain. She started to make short films when she was 16 years old and later received an Advanced Technical Degree in Image and Sound in Asturias, Spain. She worked for TV and production companies as a director and production manager for six years in Spain before moving to New York City in 2008. She recently completed the one year film making conservatory at the New York Film Academy, where she directed and produced eight short films and photographed seven other projects.
